I thought this would be a fun video - a simple bit of gameplay for different Mario titles on each generation of consoles, starting with the 8 bit Nes and going on to Nintendo's Wii.

A small note - yes, I am pretty terrible at Mario games, so sorry in advance. It is amazing just how much the Mario series has evolved from such simple beginnings on the NES all the way to the motion and wii mote control fest of Mario Galaxy series. From the simple ability to jump and run, Mario evolved into a fully realized 3d character, capable of hanging from ledges, doing backflips and much more.
If you're yet to play the older mario titles, or just want a quick blast of retro goodness, hopefully this will see you right.
