Bard is one of the new units on the PBE, and it's spell creates small creatures called "meepo" and they occupy one slot on your bench, if you don't have space on the bench, Bard doesn't do spell. Also, during creep rounds, Bard doesn't do spells at all. When selling these meepos you get 1 exp for 1 meepo and you can stack meepos indefinitely, as you can see here.
