Atlanta, GA – May 28, 1998 - Cue up for the ultimate Pool simulation, Expert Pool™! With the most realistic ball and table dynamics seen to date Expert Pool offers you over fifteen different types of Pool game set in a true 3D environment. This includes 8 ball to 9 ball, 3 ball to Straight Pool and British Pool.

Expert Pool will stand out from the crowd with its the state of the art 3D graphics engine which as well as offering real-time lighting, ball reflection and shadow effects also gives the player over 10 different environments to play in. Faithfully modelled Pool hall venues keep the gameplay exciting and varied, from the Biker Bar to the glittering tournaments of the Las Vegas strip. For total realism there is an option to play with over 160 highly detailed, in-game characters each with their own player statistics.

Technical advancements include accurately mathematically modelled 3D dynamics engine, intelligent and intuitive camera controls, real-time, fully-animated 3D characters that actually play pool.

Players also to get to choose from a variety of game modes from the straight, arcade style mode, Tournament mode, practice mode and multi-play mode. In fact Expert Pool is the definitive Internet Pool game, where you can play an infinite number of on-line opponents. Audio / Video links will be supported allowing you to talk and see your opponent through your desktop camera. There is a download "game-watch" browser free of charge which will allow "browsers" to attend championships as a spectator. Intelligent server technology will provide on-going updates and there will eventually be downloadable value added data packs – giving info on the latest players, locations and statistics.

Expert Pool is being produced for Psygnosis by Visual Sciences Ltd., a company with a proven track record in the development of top quality video game products and is due for release on PC CD-ROM format in Winter 1998.
