For some reason, the path to Piatro is blocked by a giant rock. The nearby shopkeeper, Tido, can build a bomb to destroy the rock if the party gets 30 volatile substances from the Volatile Caverns. Once you get to the northeast mining spots, you'll be attacked by a boss.

The pixie has a mechanic where if she has a red aura, she can use a skill to deal massive damage to a burned character. Since she can move three time a round, simply healing current burns won't be enough; you have to heal all burns before she moves and then guard so that only one person will be targeted. I took the risk and didn't guard, but the proper strategy is to purify and guard. You may want to give Damien a lot of Agility increasing gear to ensure he moves before the pixie.
Sadly, the first bomb isn't strong enough to move the rock. You'll need to get an Imbued Essence from the runecrafting shrine's Runic Heart.
