F1 is back at the temple of speed in Monza for the Italian grand prix just a week after the last race at Zandvoort in Holland. Before the race weekend gets underway we are going to be previewing and giving out our predictions for the grand prix and that is what I am going to be doing today. This race is the home race for the Tifosi and they will surely be out in full force to support the Ferrari team and Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. However with the form Red Bull are currently on, Max Verstappen could be leaving the Scuderia and the Tifosi feeling a little bit disappointed. The Zandvoort race was an absolute classic between the top three teams and there was a good chance that Lewis Hamilton could have claimed his first win of the season however a poor timed safety car put an end to that and Max Verstappen once again claimed the victory.

The Monza circuit is circuit is a 5.793km circuit and the race distance is 53 laps. The pole position lap record is currently held by Lewis Hamilton and is a 1:18.8 and the race lap record is held by former Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello and is a 1:21.0 Neither of these two records is going to be challenged I don't think, but I do think that Red Bull will be in a very strong position to dominate this race, their Honda power Unit will work very nicely for them against the typically slower Ferrari and Mercedes powered cars. We could see an impressive performance from Alpine, Aston Martin and Williams as well this weekend. It could be very tricky for Mclaren to repeat what they achieved last season.

What will actually happen at Monza, who knows. Anything can and usually does happen at this circuit.
