F1 2022 Belgian GP Preview & Predictions
F1 is finally back from its summer break and I cannot wait. Before the race weekend gets underway we need to preview the race and that is what I am going to be doing today. It is time for my Preview and my predictions for the Belgian GP at Spa. This could be one of the last times F1 races at this legendary track and to me this is a shame and almost feels wrong but that is the situation F1 currently finds itself in.
The Spa circuit is a 7.004km circuit and the race distance is 44 laps. The pole position lap record is currently held by Lewis Hamilton and is a 1:41.2 and the race lap record is held by former Mercedes teammate now Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas. Neither of these two records is going to be challenged I don't think, but I do think that the race will be dominated by the two Red Bull drivers of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The circuit characteristics and the orange army will help drive Max Verstappen forward towards victory and pole position and I think Lewis Hamilton will round off the podium. George Russell should also perform well but I think in the end he will be behind Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari's despite them being rumoured to taking a power unit penalty each.
What will actually happen at Spa, who knows. Anything can and usually does happen at this circuit.
