F1 Games: Colecovision's Turbo, with wheel attachment!
This is a quick playthrough of all the difficulties available on Colecovision. I did try my romcart version first but it had some odd bugs, not sure if this was a modded version or not so switched at the beginning of this video to my real cart.
Real hardware used in this, Colecovision didn't have a lot of games in general, but many of them do require additional controllers. Turbo is common, but is impossible to play without the wheel attachment. When I got my colecovision I got a broken wheel, meaning I got something of a deal - however it wasn't even working. I used a Biro pen at some point to push some things around and managed to get it working. I did then try to glue the wheel back onto the base but with no luck. Its still usable, just!
This is part of a F1 series in memory of my Uncle, who was a massive F1 fan throughout his life. It made a big impact on me growing up as it was something my family regularly watched. As I grew up, I did move away from watching the motorsport, but I still have a casual interest in racing games in general. I fondly remember playing games on the N64 which was the first ones I remember looking realistic and having full race conditions such as number of laps. The plan is to go up through the ages of games with a F1 lean released in the UK, and then go through licensed F1 games at a later stage. -- Watch live at / mikebloke
