F1 Games: Pole Position on Atari 2600
3This is the original Pole Position on 2600, it is not that deep, containing a qualifying lap and a 4 lap race. It is not particularly hard to beat, but it is still fun for the age of the game.
Real hardware used in this, 7800 controllers - at least the European ones is not too bad I think, I like them. This is a 2600 game but I find it a lot easier to just stream on the 7800 especially when I'm looking to play games from both systems.
This is part of a F1 series in memory of my Uncle, who was a massive F1 fan throughout his life. It made a big impact on me growing up as it was something my family regularly watched. As I grew up, I did move away from watching the motorsport, but I still have a casual interest in racing games in general. I fondly remember playing games on the N64 which was the first ones I remember looking realistic and having full race conditions such as number of laps.
