Fable: TLC (Modding Guide) - Installing ShadowNet
Welcome to another video in a series that I am hoping to work on, where I will try and explain the basics for people who are new to modding Fable and help them learn the things they need to get started. This will include guides on how to install certain software, such as the tools used for editing the games data files. Along with explanations on how to avoid certain mistakes.
This time we will be looking at ShadowNet, which is an updated version of the Fable Explorer program that was originally made by a user named "Hunter" over at the FableTLCMod forums. Until another user named "Silverback" wrote an improved variation of this program to enable easier searching of game data and fmp merging capabilities. To put it simply, Shadownet is a program that allows the user to analyze certain parts of the game's data and edit them how they see fit. Let's say you want to change the colour of a piece of armour or edit the damage values of a certain weapon, this is the program that allows you to do that.
Steps on how to install ShadowNet (Fable Explorer):
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Download ShadowNet.zip
2) Extract it into its own folder
3) Download the Def.xml file
4) Put it into the same folder
5) If it still won't work, install .Net Framework 4.8
