Facebook - how to delete, deactivate, or disable in 2022 on Android phone app
9I have close to 2000 friends on Facebook. Recently what I have found is that I tend to share too much, too soon on FB. The reason is that on FB it's so easy to share something. On your desktop, on your phone, Facebook is everywhere. If you feel bored, go on it, type something and click share, then 2000 people can see it instantly. Sometimes you don't realise how many people are seeing your posts. People come up to you and say to you in real life: Hey, I notice this happened, are you okay. That's when you realise, oh no, I posted about that, maybe I shouldn't have.
Don't get me wrong, I got nothing against Facebook, but as a single guy who has a lot of things to do (even if I spend the rest of my life making youtube videos I can never finish all of my ideas, not to mention the need to go out to socialise / meet new people / exercise), I can't really afford to sit there and read how wonderful everyone else's lives are. This is why I made the call to deactivate it.
Now why did I not Delete but chose to deactivate instead? This is because I have posted a lot on FB over the years, and just in case FB is the only place I posted something (maybe a photo, or some kind of important documentation), I need to be able to retrieve it later. So I thought I should not delete it, in case I need something back later.
