Pixel 4a 5G - Touch not responsive after Android 12 part 2 - replaced under warranty
2Last video you saw that my Google Pixel 4a 5G suddenly did not respond to touch properly. It was an 11 month old phone so luckily this happened before the warranty expired. I took it to the store where I bought it from (JB HiFi Ipswich). The sales consultant was very friendly. He tried to do a factory reset for me but unfortunately the phone didn't respond to any touch at all so he couldn't do it. He then filled out some paperwork and took my phone in.
A week and a half later, I got an email from JB HiFi saying that I can come pick up the phone. After I got there and waited a little, they told me that my phone was replaced under warranty, so I didn't have to pay any money. I saw that there was the word "refurbished" on the new box that they gave me, so I was slightly concerned. But after I went home and opened it up, I saw that the phone looks and operates just like new.
I checked the operating system of my new phone and it said Android 12. So I didn't have to update it again, thank god! Thank you JB HiFi and Google for giving me a new phone. The battery on it also works just like new, so I'm guessing it must have a new battery & screen, even though it says refurbished. So yes my phone works again yay.
