Factorio (0.16) Episode #3 - Progressing in "A New Hope"
3Welcome back to Factorio:
“A game about building and creating automated factories to produce items of increasing complexity, within an infinite 2D world. Use your imagination to design your factory, combine simple elements into ingenious structures, and finally protect it from the creatures who don't really like you.”
A game I've been playing for around about a year, mainly the campaign as well as some scenarios and own normal games. During this time I have learned many tricks and tips I believe I can share with you all, in order to help you through the game. - THIS TIME in Episode #3:
We plan out how we are going to progress through the mission, we clear trees to make room, take out a few biter bases, relay a few belts and assemblers as well as get started on Science Pack 1 (Red Science). We also start mining some stone and organise our smelters a little bit, but this could be altered even more. Our goal is to build a car, but we need more of everything and we need to increase our research. Onto Green Science it is!
- NEXT TIME in Episode #4:
Our aim for this episode is to get Science Pack 2 (Green Science) up and running in a spot that doesn't get in the way, this is key to giving up enough room to build the remaining assemblers and necessary items for the car.
Note: As there are explanations about the game and introduction to the characters and controls the first episode may be a bit long, the continuing episodes following will of of course not be, but will cover enough to keep the series going. Thanks.
