Factorio Base Tour - Ellipticality's Smart Train Controlled Megabase
1,023This Factorio Base Tour takes a look at Ellipticality's 1k SPM belt and train base. All the builds are fed using belts, and trains bring in and transport out the items from builds into a central transfer / drop off hub where robots load them up or take from them. There is 3400 active combinators in use on the map as well! The main hub where all items are transferred is quite fascinating as it uses the circuit network or "smarts" to control inserter filters in order to load trains with multiple types of items without filters within the wagons. It's also so precise that it only loads specific amount of each type of item in the trains before switching filters!
There are roughly 150 small 1-2 trains zipping around the base as well as many custom balancers I haven't really seen before. Overall a very cool base that was a pleasure to tour!
