Factorio Base Tour - Jackson's Blue Belt of Every Science Megabase With Unique Train System
661Today's Factorio Base Tour takes a look at Jackson's Belt Megabase. It produces a full blue belt of every science and is entirely belt oriented production throughout the factory. It utilizes what I consider to be a pretty unique train and rail system as well! There is only one small 2 lane line running up the entire length of the map and base. Small 1-4 and 1-1 sized trains are used to transport materials around.
Due to taking great advantage of local production in each science area, very few materials are actually trained around in this base, which allows it to function very smoothly despite such a small and simple rail system and still being very spread out!
A sub goal of Jackson's is to try and reach the edge of the map, which is supposedly around 1 million tiles from the city of the world where you spawn. They have made it about 10k so far.
