[Falk Demo Reel] ModTracking Composition
Another assignment for Interactive Video Game Scoring, with modtracking; a step up from MIDI. Still used widely in Portable systems (although with 3DS and NSP coming out, we'll see :( ) and it has quite a few real-time modification possibilities not feasible with straight out audio streams.
The MIDI project was largely composing something inside the same idiom as the original music. This time around I did a rescore that has nothing to do with the original genre-wise. (Sonic Color's final boss music is heavily orchestral)
Kinda amusing that the final music file was ~400kb and I probably could have lengthened it to ~3 minutes with marginal filesize increase without becoming repetitive. Not to mention the (accidental, turned out kind of cool) slowdown at the end which can in fact be controlled by the game engine real-time.
