Fall Guys vs Blankos Block Party: Differences in a Nutshell
A quick comparison between the new Blankos Block Party game and Fall Guys. Are there any similarities and what are the differences in a nutshell?
I don't know what Fall Guys will turn out to be in the future, but Blankos feels like a different game regardless of the obstacle course level similarities. Aside from that, there are many differences that set it apart from Fall Guys as of the time of making this video, where Blankos is still in the private beta stage.
At some point, their path might meet, gameplay-wise, and they become more similar and I'm sure there will be many that will compare them. Right now, they feel more different than similar.
* game is currently in private beta, not all features are available as of the time of making this video.
Main differences:
- You can level up your character
- More control of your character's movement
- Ability to create your own levels and share them
- Create custom mini-games (e.g. shooter)
- Assign unique skills to the character (e.g. running fast, smashing ground)
- Assign interactive accessories (e.g. rocket jetpack that allows you to fly high)
- Quest level
- Option to unbox a character (unboxed character might be worth more later on, I guess when trading is introduced)
- Characters aren't skins, but configurable
- Sell in-game items in exchange for real-world currencies (integrates blockchain)
