Fallen Leaf: Part 33: Lonely Lagoon (Adding Lubba)
1I stumbled upon another particular NPC spot...
It had a teenage crab guy in it named Lubba. True to the lagoon's name, he was pretty sad and lonely...
He was down because he's been looking up to his big brother, but he hasn't ever managed to pull of anything as excited as his brother did.
If you got that First Place Award, that blue ribbon, you can give it to Lubba to cheer him up.
For a moment. It then falls off from him.
This made Lubba depressed again and he was ready to give up...
And then... it turned out that he just gave up after trying to pull off something just for one day.
Petal had to make Lubba understand that he can't just stop after a day. He just has to keep trying again and again, until he's eventually capable of doing whatever he's trying to do!
Lubba finally got his second wind, and decided that the best way he can seek this achievement... is to travel with Leaf and his friends! Maybe then he can show himself to his big bro on what he's really capable of!

The biggest trait Lubba has on him immediately is his stretchy claw attack. It's not just for striking enemies from a distance, but also to latch onto walls and platforms to climb and vault over them.
Before you leave Lonely Lagoon, this little spot turns into a bit of a mini-course where you can try to use Lubba's claw latch to reach for more Jewels.
If you can't reach somewhere with Petal's higher jump, maybe you can try and climb it with Lubba's claws, instead. Hold the Jump button while slinging over to jump a bit higher when Lubba leaps up.
