Fallen Leaf: Part 38: Clay Folk Colony & Space of Smooth Meditation
Beating that Armorshell-X in the previous video unlocked two more NPC spots to check out along the next normal stage.
I wanted to dedicate this video to just focus on these two places.
----------
First, there's the Clay Folk Colony. You learn from one of its people, Basaalk, that they used to be dolls that the Angels made for playtime, as their father disallowed them to play with ordinary people.
But then they got bored of them and tossed them into the sea... with OTHERWORLDLY force, if Basaalk's deformed body can testify for that. He smashed and crashed through several huge boulders before he finally plunged.
Fortunately, since Clay Folk don't need lungs, they were able to adjust to their new lives deep in the Dual-Tide Tones and away for those nasty Angels.
----
Other Clay Folk here includes:
Krystel, who is actually an adult despite looking like a kid. Check for Key Fragment #4 at the top floor of his house.
Kkwartz, who feels some loneliness setting in as more Clay Folk leave this colony.
Forakkaloni, who runs this place's shop. Be sure to pick up another Magical Crystal, as well as an Extra Bag that gives you a new item slot. You can also buy Power Pellets (and not the kind that hungry yellow orbs eat) as a new Magical Weapon.
Gypsumike, who builds the colony's houses, or at least he tries to.
Mikka, who desires for a special pet. She doesn't really like fish, and all of her other pets couldn't breathe underwater like fish, either. Keep track of this for later, you'll eventually find the answer to this.
----------
The other NPC spot feature in this video is the Space of Smooth Meditation.
Here, you'll find a huge floating frog known as the Master of the Smooth. He has the ability to help you check for a random NPC that you've already met that still needs your help for 25 Jewels.
But more expensively, this frog can also upgrade one or two of each of your character's basic skills one way or another... for 500 Jewels each!
After gazing into his mystical sac, he will:
Leaf: Increase the range and speed of his gauntlet shots.
Petal: Increase the range and speed of her gauntlet shots. This also upgrades her Pollen's speed of tracking down enemies.
Pawla: Increase the range of her slash attacks.
DBR15: Increase the range and speed of his bubble shots.
Lubba: Increase the range and speed of his stretchy claw attack.
Keep this frog in mind as you gain more characters for your party. He also apparently has a brother somewhere that provides his own set of upgrades to your characters.
Though... some of his quotes are telling me he isn't entirely honest about himself and his services... OH WELL! My party is better and that's all that matters!
