Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Part 82: Soulhunting with the Soulhacker!
1In Part 77, I went through a whole Hero Quest that rewarded me with the renegade pirate-themed Moebius named Captain T, a.k.a. Triton.
Alongside adding him as Hero, this also means getting his Class, Soulhacker, which Lanz being his first Class Inheritor.
This is a very special Class that breaks some rules of being a Class. This is the "special power" Triton was talking about before.

Soulhacker is an super-adaptive Class:
You can make it into any of the 3 roles between Attacker, Healer, and Tank (and there different nuances to choose from within those Classes).
It can learn one Skill or one Art from each Unique Monster that you defeat. The Class must be within the current battle party to gain that Skill/Art.
The more Skills and Arts a Soulhacker learns, the more flexible you can customize them, and the more powerful their Talent Art, Final Countdown, will become. You can also upgrade these Skills and Arts through certain requirements.

Here's some flaws of it, though:
Only an Ouroboros using the Soulhacker Class themselves can learn new Arts & Skills. Triton, himself, is out of luck, but he can still be used to gain these moves for the others before commence a fight with a Unique Monster.
If you've already faced a Unique Monster before beating Triton's Hero Quest, you'll have to rematch it before you can gain its Art or Skill. At least you get a list to keep track of all of the Unique Monsters you've already slain, what "power" you got from them, and what region you had to go to find them. Plus, their graves are landmarks that you can Skip Travel to for quick and easy rematches if need be.

Ultimately, building up the Soulhacker Class can be quite a time-consuming effort, but if done right, it can be a very powerful Class. I've seen other players give most if not ALL of Ouroboros this Class and see them wreck superbosses with it!

Power Gained: Art - Toxic Gas
Don't sleep on this despite how its name and how kinda looks when an Ouroboros uses it. It's an AOE attack that Power Charges on hit. Power Charge doubles the power of the user's next Art. That's REALLY good!
