Assuming the Fallout wikis are accurate, regular Floaters have no resistance vs fire and Nasty Floaters have 2/10%, which isn't much. Even then, you still need 2 shots on average to down one, so it's a game of lining stuff up and taking hits. It's fun turning enemies into piles of ash, but ultimately this is a horrible weapon. I'm actually using an Improved Flamer, which does 45-90 damage as opposed to 40-90 for a regular Flamer. Thanks, Black Isle, what an unbelievable upgrade! (sarcasm)
