Now that we were finished at the minefield, I had never seen so many mines, it was
like a ghost town but as dangerous as the waste could be. But I had no idea the dangers that
would come. On our way back to Moira Brown we discovered a new location, Scrapyard, While
exploring, we heard gunshots and some commotion. What we found was unexpected, four dead
Raiders and a Traider, but a dog, alive and well. It looked like the Traider had been attacked
by the Raiders but his dog fought and killed the Raiders. Now he was homeless and alone,
like me, and in that moment a friendship developed between us. Vanessa told me he would
just be dog meat and we should leave him. Dogmeat, the name stuck in my mind.
