This video is for educational purposes. The explosion IS NOT in this film. I show the location of the incident on my Pip-boy and collect the weapon and its ammunition with the help of Dogmeat. Hopefully others who are having problems with the occurrence will have some luck here, like I did. I spent a lot of time roaming the area between Smith Casey's garage and Rockopolis with hope that an alien space craft would explode in the sky and drop me a new weapon. It didn't happen.

I was randomly roaming outside of the Bethesda ruins and heard a big explosion, accompanied by the "rumblers" in my controller freaking out. I thought security robots were firing missiles, but the mesmerizing light produced by the alien power cells caught my eye. Finally, the Firelance was mine!

A very random occurrence indeed.
