This is how official mods will work (all platforms). It's a good thing to know that unofficial mods (from Nexus Mods) are also supported for now, as seen in the video.

Only the chosen ones have the access to Official Mods trough the closed beta, so you only see as mods are loading, however, you can see plenty of Mod Categories that will be available, such are Animals, Quests, Workshop items, Worlds, etc.
