Postnukleares Rollenspiel in Iso-Sichtweise, 1997 von Interplay (eigentlich von den Black Isle Studios, doch damals hießen sie noch nicht so) entwickelt und vertrieben. In Fallout spielt ihr einen Bunkerbewohner von Vault 15 (einen autarken Atombunker), welcher in einer postnuklearen Welt einen Wasserchip für seine Vault finden muss. Fallout verwendet eine modifizierte Version des G.U.R.P.S (Generic Universal Role Play System) namens S.P.E.C.I.A.L ( für die englischen Attributsnamen von Stärke, Wahrnehmung, Ausdauer, Charisma, Intelligenz, Beweglichkeit und Glück), welche eine komplexe Charakterentwicklung mit vielen Skills und Perks genannten Zusatzeigenschafen zulässt. Fallout ist ein geistiger Nachfolger von Wasteland (welcher ebenfalls von Interplay entwickelt wurde), und hat einen ausgesprochen, schwarzen Humor.

Post Nuclear Role-Play in Iso-view, 1997 by Interplay (actually, Black Isle Studios has developed Fallout, but at that time they were called not so) developed and distributed. In Fallout you play a bunker residents of Vault 15 (a self-sustaining nuclear bunker), which must find a water chip for its vault in a post-nuclear world. Fallout uses a modified version of G.U.R.P.S. (Generic Universal Role Play System) called S.P.E.C.I.A.L (for the attribute names of Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck), which allows a complex character development with many skills and perks (additional character traits). Fallout is a spiritual successor to Wasteland (which was also developed by Interplay), and has a very black humor.
