This is where things really get interesting. You finally get access to the Remnants bunker, and have to make a choice to support either the Legion or the NCR. Regardless, you will get access to at least one set of Power Armor after this.

The first part of these videos lists the conditions necessary to partake on this quest. In this part you have to side with either the Legion or the NCR. I recommend always choosing the NCR. You shouldn't be helping Ceasar's Legion in the first place, and beating the Legion is much easier than taking on the Rangers. Also, it's impossible to convince Johnson to stay if you side with the Legion, whereas Moreno can be convinced with a high speech check. If you fail to convince him he becomes hostile and you have to kill him.

Once you do this, all you have to do is convince Gannon to stay in Freeside. Otherwise he shows up at the battle at Hoover Dam and you don't get the Tesla Armor.

As for which is the better armor... while the normal Remnants armor has better DT and a strength bonus, the Tesla armor gives a bonus to Energy Weapons, a higher Rad Resistance, and actually allows you to move around faster (as it's a Medium armor). For this reason I prefer the Tesla armor over the normal alternative.
