My first FM chiptune cover!
I didn't plan on making this. I originally meant to experiment in tildearrow's Furnace tracker with some FM instruments I ripped from the arcade version of Commando, but I ended up covering this song from the Famicom Disk System graphic adventure game Shin Onigashima (more specifically the longer version of the song from Disk 2), another niche game with a fantastic soundtrack (courtesy of Nintendo music king Koji Kondo). I originally intended to only use FM channels via the Yamaha YM2612, but I decided to throw in some SN76489 accompaniment for good measure since I was using the Mega Drive's chip set. I must say that I'm quite pleased with my results, especially with the tweaking I had to do to the instruments and the volume to make sure everything sounded just right. I hope you guys enjoy this. ^w^
