"Kiteretsu Daihyakka"(キテレツ大百科) (Also known as Kiteretsu Encyclopedia or only Kiteretsu) is a manga series by "Fujiko F. Fujio"(藤子 F. 不二雄) which ran in the children's magazine "Kodomo no Hikari"(こどもの光) from April 1974 to July 1977. The manga was later made into a 331-episode anime television series which ran on Fuji TV from March 27, 1988 to June 9, 1996.
A work containing the story of the inventor boy "Eiichi Kite" and partner "Korosuke" who make a mysterious invention of the "Kiteretsu Encyclopedia" written by "Kiteretsu-sai". This game is based on this series.

The original animation has gained popularity and is famous for being a longevity program following Fujio F. Fujio's masterpiece "Doraemon".
