Fancy Pants Adventures was originally a flash game on addicitinggames.com, but was recently updated and released on the PlayStation Network and X-Box Live Arcade. The game is a 2D platformer with a unique visual style. Rather than a rich multilevel deep graphic style it has a simplified style that is made to look like stick figures and children's drawings. In the game the player controls Fancy Pants, a stick figure that is wearing pants. The game is a vast improvement over the original flash game. There are more moves in Fancy Pants' repertoire such as wall jumps, and swimming, as well as a weapon that he can use to fight his enemies. The game has a great fun factor, each level is large with allowing a lot of exploration and different ways of accomplishing the various goals. Fancy Pants is very agile and when playing multiplayer the fun factor is increased by the players' ability to work cooperatively by bouncing off of one another.
The largest drawback to the game is that throughout the game the player is getting teased by the knowledge that they will eventually get a weapon however, the weapon doesn't show up until near the end of the story mode. After a player gets the weapon they can use it everywhere, including replaying older levels. The game has a variety of costumes that can be unlocked for Fancy Pants which is also a good way to continue to bring players back to play the game again. Overall I really enjoyed Fancy Pants. I give it 4 out of 5 stars, and recommend that people spend the money to purchase the game.
