Fantastic Dizzy CD32 speed demo, part 3
I really should have started consulting my maps again by the time I got to the town castle. Playing slowly allows me to react faster and fine-tune my moves a little better, but after a while it can cause me to get tired and bored and forget where I am or what task I'm on, like when I forgot to drop the weight in front of Dylan's door for a second in the previous video. (It also means every full play-through takes three hours, so I probably didn't do as many practice trials as I should have because of that.) There was one embarrassing mistake on Dock Street where I panicked, thinking I had already passed the star past the last tunnel (which I must never forget about), and started going backward until I decided to stop and consider my surroundings a little more. Would you believe that's not even the first time I've confused the tunnel to the castle with the tunnel to the shopkeeper?
But most of the rest of the run was good enough that I decided to keep this attempt and show it off. I was being careful to keep Dizzy's damage low when entering the final tower, because in some previous attempts, I made some mistakes there and racked up so much damage that Dizzy died once! I was thinking of saving the game again in the tower in case Dizzy fell too far, but then I realized that feature doesn't work inside "sub-games". Luckily I did very well at the tower climb this time, and so Zaks is beaten in record time--well, a record for the sort-of cheating mode I was in.
Now why did Zaks brick over his window?
