Shortest Spellbound Dizzy: The Next Generation
It wasn't just the Commodore 64 version that had a shortcut to the end! The Atari ST and Commodore Amiga versions also had ways for Dizzy to jump off the air and reach the top without the need for the umbrella or kite. But the game still says I "rescued all of the yolkies" afterward, so I guess they got back home some other way, and you get to watch them sitting around all day doing nothing while listening to the music!
One of the keys to this was the fact that pressing Left and Right at the same time causes Dizzy to jump to the right, but if I press Up during that jump, Dizzy can start another jump. This might not be possible on the real computers, I suppose, if you were restricted to playing with a joystick. I think there are also moments where Dizzy can jump from the air after passing through the wind column; I didn't investigate it very hard, mostly just memorized where and when I needed to jump.
