Treasure Island Dizzy on Atari ST, part 1
Lemmy556 said I should do more ST Dizzy games, so now I'm playing Treasure Island Dizzy again! I might record longplays of this game on other systems in the future too, to check those off for this topic. http://www.yolkfolk.com/bb/showthread.php?t=1611
Not very different from the Amiga version at all, really. It's only missing that notice about who coded the music. For this run I went for the highest score I could manage without cheats.
I did that thing again where I record the game in sound effects mode, then dub the music onto it so you can hear both at the same time. The Spacebar toggles it in this game; in most other Dizzy games it's the M key. I'm not sure SainT is emulating the footstep noise quite right, but I trust it's no big deal. I think toward the end of this half I meant to dig up the grave from the side so the pogo stick would be floating over the air, but instead I took it down and left it inside the smugglers' cave because I wasn't thinking, or something. Well, sometimes the emulator controls lock up for a second when I'm recording too, which is why I didn't jump that last cage trap from a safe distance. Uh, we'll pretend that was me showing off again!
