Far Space - Early Access Watcher -

I was confused when I first saw this title hit the store, mainly due to the fact it was already on Steam as Far Space VR. It must be the non-VR version, right? Well, you could play the other without VR as well, so this is puzzling. That said, this is essentially a choose your adventure that flips back to the choice if you fail to pick the right one. There are also some drawn out shooting segments that equate to pointing an always on laser toward approaching enemies. Having watched a playthrough of the original VR title, they look very similar, so I question why this was upload again and whether it will actually see any changes before being put out into full release; call me cynical.
It is stable in terms of technical qualities, but lacks any options outside language select, brightness and good/best graphics. For a buck, you can do a lot better than this 25 minute experience. It has not replay value to speak of and while there are achievements, most of them rely on letting the game ideal past the 2 hour mark. I recommend avoiding this one until there are obvious signs that it will see some more story content/length added.
