Farming Fortune spheres for the luck nodes is probably the biggest pain as there is no fast way to do it unlike the other spheres.

however hopfully my method will help make it a little better.

What you want (even though I'm not wearing the armor but did craft it) is to

1: unlocked Tidus Ultimate weapon

2: have at least 200 str, 200 def, 200 magic def (mine are 255)

3: unlocked the loner over drive mode

4 craft armor with Auto-Haste, Auto-Shell, Auto-Protect, and Magic Def +20%

once those requirements have been met, Select Earth Eater and fight him. You'll want to deal 100,000 damage to knock him down on his back.

Which is why it's important to keep 3 party memebers at the start of the fight, once he is on his back, have the other 2 members escape leaving Tidus alone. With the loner over drive mode Tidus bar will fill up every 2 turns. Use Slice and Dice since it does more damage than blitz ace (even though blitz ace hits more but does less damage against Earth Eater for some odd reason) repeat until he is dead
