The Fast Franchise is switching gears with plans to take the films from Street Racing to High powered Heists!
Hey I'm Chelsea Cannell here for Clevver Movies with some news on Fast six! Seems universal is ready to bank on the projected success of Fast 5, which is due to hit theaters here soon, with a gear shift that'll take fast six into the world of heist flicks according to Deadline. The franchise appears to be re-invigorated by the original cast re-aligning for the 5th installment-- and now the studio is looking to bank on what looks like a good thing, by broadening their audience from car fanatics to action lovers. Chris Morgan has already signed on to pen the screenplay and has experience with action flicks like Wanted. Fast Five sets up the directional change by focusing on a major robbery- which tees up Fast Six nicely.
