I've been playing this game online here and there since it came out, and I've made some progress in figuring out what does and doesn't work. Unfortunately, I've found that it's nearly impossible to win online races unless you select a vehicle with really high top speed, so that limits your choices and hurts the game's balance. Also, certain paths are faster than others, and I'm still trying to memorize all of them by watching how other people beat me.

Right now the online is still buggy, so full lobbies are hard to come by. They tend to freeze or disconnect. However, Shin'en is supposed to release a patch this month that not only fixes these problems but adds a mini map and name tags online. That will be nice.

In the mean time, here are some of the better races that I had yesterday. Although I like the Mueller PLS, I'm finding that Willard Labs ship is winning me more races because of its higher top speed. The fastest ship, the Zvil, is simply uncontrollable on the more winding courses.

Recorded with the Elgato Game Capture HD60 and the Wii U's HDMI cable at native 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. I'm using a Wii Wheel.
