Fatal Frame 2 / Project Zero 2 Wii Edition Walkthrough With That Screaming Commentary Son Part 41
NOTE: This final part had to be made with a different program due to some annoying ass technical problem which still don't make any sense so apologies if anything is different!
Sae was thrown out of Mayu by the flash of the camera obscura and fell in to the abyss, her manic laughs echoed in to silence as she returned to nothing. Mayu was drained and could barely stand. Snake rushed to catch her before she too could fall with her doppelganger.
They sat there for a while saying nothing. Snake thinking how the nightmare was finally over asked if she was okay. Mayu grabbed his hands.
"There's something you must do, you know don't you?"
She slowly raised his hands toward her throat and leaned back. Suddenly a flash of suppressed memories overwhelmed Snake's mind. He'd been here before, right here doing the exact thing and he knew the kind of life he had lived after the events of this day. He threw himself away from her in horror, falling to the floor.
"No! You can't ask me to do this, not again! I won't do it!"
Mayu rose to her feet. Her face turned cold as she stared at her fallen sibling.
"I knew you couldn't do it... no matter how much I wanted you to. But that's okay. If you can't make us one, then we'll be together forever in hell!"
Her back snapped forward and she let out a blood curdling laugh that was all too familiar. Snake had truly lost his sister to the abyss. Lying there, he knew he had lost. The village had won and he would spend forever trapped there with his shadow of a sister.
Mayu lunged at Snake's neck with open claws... then the dark curtain ended the scene there.
Snake threw him self up. Covered in sweat he turned left to right frantically. It was day time and he was home. looking down, Snake saw he was in bed. Clutching his head he quickly made the realization he just woke from a horrible nightmare. All these years ever since that day, Snake lived with the burden of what happened in that cave. But as his subconscious story had told him, if he didn't do what he had done that night Mayu wouldn't have been free and Snake would have payed an even greater price. A crimson butterfly fluttered in through the window and landed on his shoulder, gently waving its wings at him. He smiled knowing who it was. He could finally put an end to this story and go on to begin a new. She had forgiven him.
"Thank you, Mayu..."
