As he opened the door, the faint sound of a small ringing bell could be heard. Snake pricked his ears and stretched his head out to better locate the noise. It was muffled, fragile but very near. The sound resonated from beneath his feet. After reading the crimson diaries, Snake knew who this was and tried to approach the child with as much care as possible. Her story was sad and Snake wanted to make sure she didn't have yet another thing to be afraid of. He reach for the cupboard door at his feet, his past encounters refusing him to put down his camera no matter how friendly he wanted to seem to the ghost.

"It's okay. I'm not here to hurt you. I'm a friend of Itsuki's! I need that key he gave you, can you give it to me please?"

He waited for a response but nothing answered his question.

"Well okay, I'm going to open the door don't be afraid okay?"

Snake opened the door slowly to allow the ghost time to understand what was happening, he didn't want to force his appearance on her for it might scare her and then he'll never get that key.

Snake was expecting to see a timid child on the other side, but nothing. Just stored boxes covered in cloth. Confused and a little frustrated with his attempt at communing with the deceased Snake threw politeness out the window and shoved his head in the cupboard.

She didn't like that.
