Fate/Samurai Remnant - Vs. Lancer & Chiemon | Part 10
0:00 - Fight to Kanda
30:25 - Iori & Saber Vs. Lancer & Chiemon
39:47 - Musashi Vs. Assassin
45:05 - Rogue Saber Vs. Lancer & Chiemon
A whole lot happens in this part. First, we investigate Kanda and determine we need to take over Spirit Fonts to break past its Boundary Field. But as we go through the Spirit Font battle, it's made apparent that it's defenses are just set up too tight, so we have to try going around, but that puts us in Chiemon's territory.
The hardest part of this Servant smorgasbord is fighting Lancer and Chiemon as Iori and Saber. Iori's not quite up to part to stand up to a Servant right now, but Chiemon is much weaker so you can deal a lot more damage to him. He doesn't get a Shell Gauge either. Taking down the Master in fights like these will weaken the Servant, taking out a chunk of their Shell Gauge and letting you get some free hits in. But the Master will recover after a certain amount of time has past. Affinity attacks that gather enemies together are good for these types of fights since it'll hit both of them and also stun the Servant. Lancer and Chiemon also have combination attacks, much like Saber and Iori do. The hardest one to avoid has Lancer form a wall of fire around Iori before Chiemon thrusts forward. You can't really evade to the side well, but you can run back or jump over Chiemon's charge to avoid it.
After Lancer's weakened a bit, everyone will be attacked by Assassin, but Musashi shows up to challenge him 1-v-1 pretty quickly. We get to play as Musashi for this. Her moveset shares some moves with Iori, only they're buffed up considerably and she incorporates attacks from all of Iori's movesets (even the ones he hasn't learned yet) into one. She also has her own unique attacks, particularly her C4. She's also the first Servant we have that can use an NP, which is a massively powerful attack. Musashi can even expend 3 Affinity to charge about 75% of her NP gauge to fire them off almost back to back. Pretty solid moveset and fun to play. Assassin isn't too hard to fight, most of his moves are predictable and you can just get behind him for a lot of them. He can summon snakes to help him fight, but they mostly just serve to help fill your Affinity and NP gauges than anything. He and his snakes can also inflict Poison, which does exactly what you expect poison to do in a video game; drains health over time.
Then we go back to Lancer and Chiemon, but this time Rogue Saber shows up to help and we get to control him directly. Rogue Saber is great, just a bro for the entirety of the game. Unlike other Rogue Servants, he can just show up where ever, and will do so repeatedly to help out Iori from time to time. His moveset is pretty balanced overall, though some of his attacks have a long windup in return for hitting hard.
Chapter 1 ends when yet another Servant appears in the last cutscene, raining flaming arrows down below from a ship sailing through the sky.
