Blue bird, hmmm all I think about is when my kids used to watch Naruto hahaha, it might have some cultural meaning that I don't understand, but well the bird in a cage is universal I suppose.
Alright so this part is where we for some reason part completely with what I had expected, who the fuck is the angry person in a hat? and why does the brother (that I assume it is) just keep repeating himself like a ghost, or a fragment of something lost in a yeah, nightmare. But it sort of bothers me he is looking for a kid, so I don't know man, I think it just deviates from the Faust that I know.
I hated some of the puzzles here, it took me AGES to figure out how to open that midnight gate in the garden. And the Golems, what the hell is up with that? I mean I am aware there is an opera or operette (i'd have to google that, and I don't care enough to do that tbh) called Doctor Faust and the Golem, but I have no idea what it's about, well Faust and Golems I suppose. So there might be a lot of references that is lost on me. But I have to admit that I laughed at the "meth" means death, and well I don't mean to bring up my personal life, but I am a drug rehabilitation councellor, and yeah dude, no shit meth is death... I hardly think that is how it was meant, or maybe it was, I don't know. What I do know is that I laughed, highly inappropriately one might add.
The piglets, see you got me - what the hell are they? WHY are they? is it some Freudian thing about the the fractured psyche? The psychoanalytic thesis about ID, EGO and SUPEREGO just seperated? In regards as to how Freudian this universe is, then I'd say I probably isn't that far off. And then there is the whole deal about them being imps, but pigs - but not. Devils too maybe? Fucked if I know.
