Final Boss Editing looks into a first draft of a Noir Mystery! Here are the notes:

GOOD:
• Description is great – very visual and evocative
• Good setup of mystery – and establishing conflict.

IMPROVE:
• Start later (we have a lot of fat early in the narrative). Get to 1 of 2 things quickly: the conflict between detectives or the WEIRD part of the victim’s death
• Remove some of the characters and focus on making 1 or 2 more built out and unique
• Define the character’s modivations (based off their backstory) so the conflict seems rational – they have conflict, but without knowing why the character gets so angry, it just seems like she’s being crazy.
