105Despite it's simplistic design, this chapter didn't bore me nearly as much as I thought it would, and I think I know why. While it's basically a long winding path with enemies thrown about here and there, it had a clear focus: You need to manage your experience gains while keeping at a good pace so you don't get murdered by ultra powerful enemies. It's a simple challenge, but it was executed well enough to keep my interest, so it gets a pass.
I think that's why I'm enjoying this hack more than Dream of Five. The level design so far actually feels like it has focus and purpose. In Dream of Five, a challenge is rarely ever invoked. It always felt like this: "Here a map for you to play in. Do whatever. We don't care."
... God, I really hate Dream of Five.
I definitely think the glitch that occurred in this video was because I didn't update the ROM properly, and it certainly hurt my mood when I played, but I managed to recover from it and be amusing again.
I find Kiro very difficult to train. I certainly hope he's worth it.
