FE2 Community Maps - Crystal Caves V5 (Preview 2)
Here's a 2nd preview of a upcoming remake of Crystal Caves. This is the 2nd remake of the map overall and it's the 1st version of Crystal Caves to be a collaboration with 2 other people.
Here's the changes from Preview 1 in the previous rooms
Room 1
- Added additional details to most of the room
- Adjusted some of the platforms for added detail
Room 1/2
- A flood gate now blocks you from backtracking accidentally or progressing if too slow.
- This ends up buffing the lava speed of the map.
The very end of the room has added details.
Room 3
This room got the most redo I've done in the map so far.
- On button 3 activation, instead of a long walking section, platforms fall down instead (Significantly buffing the map in multiplayer) and the lava rises a bit.
- From the previous preview notes, the wall jump was removed and the jump was nerfed. The truss jump near button 3 was nerfed.
- Some of the gameplay got nerfed.
Additions
Swimming section
- This one plays similar to V3 initially, then it behaves similar to V4, but a lot shorter. Afterwards it plays like V3 again.
- Unlike V4 however, it's way easier to know if you're late or not.
* There's currently a bug that lets you advance a bit further without button 5, but this will be getting fixed.
The next room is a unique room that doesn't really reference older versions. This adds moving platforms into the equation.
This version tries to hybrid what worked in V1-3 and V4 into 1 map and expands on it.
