Tambo is a group of friends put together by Murray Lorden - this is a selection of the finest cuts from a live improv jam session in The Elvis Room at Bakehouse Rehearsals in Richmond, Melbourne, Australia on 6th December 2011.

The session was recorded to a Fostex X28 4-track cassette recorder, then mixed from the 4-track the next day through a series of effects pedals.

The band is a tonic for all the rigmarole of being in a band... there's so much housekeeping, organising, decision making, and the thanklessness of losing money and trying to be liked. :) Naahaa!

This jam-band is designed by the musicians for the musicians. Improvised good times! No obligations! Ad-hoc huaka! Enjoy!

It's also about retro instruments and an old school sound, recording to 4-track cassette, and keeping things fresh and imperfectly perfect!
