FF VII - Did not learn Beta
0Cloud holding the enemy skill materia did not learn Beta as the game claimed he did. This was a known mechanic but not one that I knew of before, because as said, I just didn't & still don't like VII that much.
So even in total annihilation, the party was considered having escaped due to Tifa getting knocked away prior, but Cloud WAS holding the materia AND ate Beta with his face. Thus the reason he (or the materia) did not learn it was simply because the game is programmed that way. Amazing.
There's sth about the post battle result screen that is tied to these kinda progression & stuff.
