FF5 (Rotating Class Challenge) Ep. 11 - Ramuh
8I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret, I've never beaten FF5. I've played through it a bunch of times and usually end up stopping for one reason or another. I DO really enjoy it, but I've always found it difficult because I just didn't know the mechanics. During my pre-planning stages, I researched every single boss fight, and learned what some of the best ways were to beat each one of them. I have a pretty extensive spreadsheet that I made, with what my rotation is going to look like, a Spreadsheet Guide that I made for how to get every Blue magic the earliest you can, and a very extensive (WIP) guide to Beastmaster, including info on every enemy, how much HP they have, how much they need to be captures, and where I can find them.
I've never used the beastmaster class before, and honestly when i was prepping for this fight, I was learning how much I don't like it. My initial plan was to use Mini Dragons to beat Ramuh really quick. However, Mini Dragons come in packs of 5 and are pretty tough. It's a lot of work to get captures playing the way I'm currently playing. So I wanted to come up with a less risky option. And there I saw it on my guide. The humble Goblin. The very first enemy in the game boasting a whopping 16 HP!
What makes the goblin so special? Well only the fact that it's release ability is Flare, and it does around 1020 damage. So with a single Time mage, I gravity the goblins down to 2 HP to capture them, switch my jobs around and repeat until everyone has a goblin release. And the results are this.
