Before heading into the Northern Crater, I made sure to steal 99 xpotions from Spiral enemies near Mideel. It's nice not having to buy them with GP at gold saucer. I also wanted to steal reflect rings from Ultimate Weapon. The ground battles all have reflect rings to steal, the air battles you can steal curse rings (I can't reach though). I managed to get 2 of those. Then I had to go steal a bunch of water rings to sell for betting on hero drinks. I decided 18 would be enough.

For the actual fight, I'm pretty surprised how much damage my regular attacks are doing. My only real worry was Ultima, as I'm not sure if I could beat her in time. I got kind of lucky, you'll see why. I did have a back up plan though. It's nice winning this way because we get 0 exp and AP. keeping my levels under 40.
