FF8 (NLBNANGFNINR Challenge) Ep. 5 - Diablos
14This boss is actually a bit difficult to be doing right away, but i didn't have another video prepared and I can get into this fight whenever I want. So yeah, let's have a difficult fight.
Diablos has a around 7200 HP which is a lot for how little damage I do right now. Thankfully we can draw Demi which actually works on it. Diabolos has three different attacks, Demi, which does 1/4 current HP as damage to a single target, Gravija, which deals 3/4 current HP to the entire party, and a physical attack which deals roughly 200 HP.
Normally when i do a challenge and Demi is on the table, it means I can just ignore what the enemy does and go straight offense, but Diabolos attacks super frequently, getting 2-3 turns in between all of my turns. This means I basically need to keep Squall and Zell on standby to heal while Selhpie either draws Demis or double casts Demi. We don't Draw cast demi here because it's too random and has chances to not work.
Something I learned about this fight, if you Double Cast Demi, Diablos will always counter attack with Curaga on the caster. I don't know why this is the case, but thanks?
