As a reminder, FF9's counter of successful steals is capped at 9999 and reaching that hidden cap is among the goals of the challenge. This episode is just a presentation and the actual playing sessions are contained in the sub-episodes of which the links are below (total playing time is around 11 hours and 15 minutes; note that each sub-episode contains timecodes for all successful steals made):
* Episode 82-1 (raising the successful steals' count from 5615 to 5818):

Extra info/corrections/comments on this episode:
* The team I use is composed of Quina (in order to use Night to incapacitate the monsters) and Freya (only for the Initiative support ability). The choice of the remaining character is not important.
* Zidane is placed in the second position because this makes him get the first command in the Uptown Area (interior) screen in case of a preemptive strike for some reason.
* The equipment prioritizes Speed then Evade (in order to slow down a bit the Trance gauge); the support abilities that should be activated are Bandit, Master Thief, Initiative, Alert, Auto-Haste, Auto-Regen, Steal Gil, Distract, Insomniac, Accuracy+, Jelly and other useful support abilites if they do not waste time (so Flee-Gil for example should not be activated since all battles should end by escaping with L1+R1).
* The strategies I generally use are the following:
- To steal at ease until the end of the battle, I generally cast Night if Quina's ATB is (nearly) full and when 3 monsters are faced without a preemptive strike.
- I try to end all the battles by fleeing them, using L1+R1 immediately after making the necessary successful steals, but not necessarily after stealing all the items available: I strive to not steal if it can result on a failed attempt, so I generally make sure that the last steal attempt I do from a monster is when I get the most commem item (guaranteed steal), which is a Soft (a Basilisk owns two items: Hi-Potion and Soft).
- I sometimes get rid of each Basilisk (with the physical attacks of Vivi, Quina and Freya) just after having stolen its Soft, if I sense that the remaining steal attempts to be made can make the monsters waste too much time with their actions.
* As a reminder, the ATB option should be set to "Wait" and the Battle Speed should be set at the maximum.
* With a Speed of 45, Zidane can act four times before the Basilisks in case of a preemptive strike (if the ATB is managed properly).
* I make around 205-210 successful steals per hour (one can be of course more efficient if Zidane's Speed were higher or if another console than the PS1 is used).
