This fight was annoying. Mateus hits hard and the ice azers will bother you a lot with blizzard spells. I had to equip the Dawn Shard to reduce their blizzard spells to 0. But that leaves me with no MP. :( I thought I could defeat Mateus without getting rid of the ice azers. But I was wrong and they healed Mateus after he does chain magic. So I made a different approach, and this is the video to it.

I tried rounding all of them together but one ice azer got away from Traveler. So I had to run around some more while shooting Mateus. Once I got traveler charged, I killed the last Ice Azer and hit Mateus with all Ive got. Oh I forgot to point out, I had a Gigas Hat on. Stole them from Dead Bones in Barheim Passage. I needed HP boosts so I got this instead of HP augments. :)

Mateus' end is in the next part. This fight took me 23 mins long. Mateus kept beating me with Blizzaja. I couldnt react in time to change my equipment. bummer. -__- Anyway, enjoy part 1. :D
