This playthrough is made in celebration of Snow's addition to Dissidia Final Fantasy!

So here's the first part of my Snowlo run. I'll be honest, this fight is really easy as Snow, so I only really uploaded this because it's the first boss you can realistically do a Solo run against. Also, just to show how much of a joke Dahaka is, lol.

Crystarium Level: Stage 8 (Max)

I used a Trainer to hack in Gil and CP to minimize grinding. Hope and Sazh are at Stage 7 Crystarium (Primary) and have their Paper Tiger Weapons equipped.

-- Strategy --

Snow has so much HP that healing and guarding are unnecessary, and there's also no need for buffing since we have Aerosols. So, all I needed was Commando, Ravager, and Saboteur. I have 2 Paradigms for each Role, to make use of the ATB Refresh.

I started in COM just to use Powerchain. Then I switched to SAB to apply Slow, which thankfully succeeded right at the end of my second queue. From there, it's just RAV chain building until you reach near-Stagger. I threw in 2 queues of COM attacks with Ruin just to add a bit more damage before the Stagger.

I managed to Stagger Dahaka at a pretty optimal time, right as he's using Fulminous Firestorm. I didn't really need to do this, as I finished the battle before Dahaka could fully recover from Stagger (he only stays down for 30 seconds regardless of Stagger status). But I guess it looks good for aesthetic purposes. And also to show you when the best time to Stagger him is.

Once Staggered, I threw in some 2nd tier black magic for further Chain building, and then finished Dahaka off with Ruin queues. Pretty simple, pretty easy, pretty fast. Nothing too complex, but at least it looks good. A decent start to the playthrough.

It seems like there's a fair bit of luck involved in this battle. Sometimes Dahaka will use Soul of Impurity, which may or may not Dispel your buffs. If it does, then I guess just Retry. Unfortunately, it seems like Haste is the first to go, if that happens. It could be problematic for anyone who isn't Sazh or Fang (here in Stage 8). Sometimes Dahaka will use Diluvial Plague, which is also problematic for a similar reason (debuffs). Regardless, none of these things are really a big problem for Snow since he's so fast. I could have Staggered him earlier, as you saw, but I opted for a bit more damage since I figured I had the time, and I was correct. Just be warned, if you see Dahaka use Faith (and sometimes Haste), he will probably change forms soon, so plan accordingly.
